I have a lot of cool stories. Most of them include rock and roll.

As I venture further away from the old days when I was a professional songwriter/musician, the harder it is to sell those stories as legitimate memories. If only I had all these new media gadgets to capture journalistic spoonfuls of what I witnessed.

I was honored to appear on one of my favorite NPR shows, The Story with Dick Gordon.

Quick story: My boss Ted Streuli is responsible for me being on this show. While I was away on vacation visiting my dad in Tennessee, he got in touch with The Story to tell them about these nutty stories I have been telling him about being a touring musician.

So without going too far into details here, I present … the radio show. Enjoy.

p.s. The only gripe I have is that due to editing, the show leaves some some lingering thoughts without explanations. About not playing on the record – it is untrue as it is presented. They cut out a whole section about a guy who is maybe the only guy in the recording industry who I still keep in touch with, Bob Glaub.

But all in all, it is a great show. And it was an even better experience. To talk to one of my favorite radio hosts, Dick Gordon, was a true pleasure!
